Hal Scheurich

hal scheurichBorn and raised on the Gulf Coast, Hal Scheurich cut his teeth in television news in his home town of Corpus Christi, Texas. Hal worked as a news photographer for the CBS affiliate there for several years before moving to Mobile, Ala. in 1989. He covered news there for the next nine years, winning several press awards along the way for stories he covered. In that time, he realized this is where he wanted to call home.

He married Mobile native Anne Kelly and they’ve since had three beautiful children.

Between 1998 and 2008 Hal took a break from broadcast news, but not from television. He dove off into the world of independant television production shooting, producing and editing both local and national cable television shows. These shows included Port City Thunder, Gulf Coast Spotlight, Southern Experience, Wild for Outdoors and ARCA Racing This Week.

Hal finished his higher education in Mobile and graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2008, majoring in communications with a track in public relations.

Hal has been with FOX10 News since July 2008 working as a videojournalist. He now resides in Baldwin County working the Baldwin County beat for FOX10 News.
