Cloudy, clammy, and cool conditions will continue to prevail through the remainder of the weekend. Sunday starts that way with temps in the upper 40s, a few breaks in the clouds could help us reach 60 degrees by the afternoon.
A few light showers are possible Sunday especially East of I-65.
A warm front moves through our area on Monday bringing our highs to near 70 degrees, and giving us a chance of a few light showers. But the most important thing that warm air does is enhance our risk of thunderstorms Tuesday as a cold front swoops through.
That front should come through during the middle of the day when we are at our warmest, so the Storm Prediction Center has issued a 15% risk of severe weather Tuesday across the Gulf Coast. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer to Tuesday and get more details on this system.
A few light showers could linger early Christmas Eve morning behind that system, but they’re not expected to have much of an impact and they should clear out as the morning goes along. By Christmas Eve afternoon, we will have clearing skies and cool temps with highs in the upper 50s. Christmas Day will be gorgeous! We will start cool and crisp in the upper 30s and warm up into the low 60s under sunny skies.
