October 1st will feel a bit like September 1st with warm temperatures and high humidity. We will top out in the mid to upper 80s with the humidity making those temps uncomfortable.
We will stay hot through the end of the week as a cold front approaches. That front will bring scattered rain chances Thursday and a number of showers and storms on Friday. We are not expecting any severe weather with this system.
Behind this front though, will be a significant change. It will bring much cooler and drier air for the weekend. Highs may not even top 80 degrees Saturday, and Sunday morning lows will drop well into the 50s with some interior areas possibly even dipping into the upper 40s!
The nice weather should hold through the first half of next week.
