Resident: Bullets were flying in my house

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Mobile Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting at a woman’s house while she was inside.

Police said around 8 p.m. Tuesday night, September 2, someone fired multiple shots into a home on the 2700 Block of Betbeze Street in Midtown.

Wendy Price told FOX10 News she was sitting at home watching TV when suddenly shots rang out and bullets flew through her walls.

“I mean, bullets have no eyes, so I’m laying in my bed, bullets flying. I don’t know where they going, I’m just ducking,” said Price, “My son ducking, he’s on the computer. He could have been hit, any innocent bystanders and they’re doing this. Why? I don’t know.”

Police said they do not believe Price’s home was shot on purpose.

“At this time we do not believe that she was the intended target. Someone was firing a weapon recklessly in the area,” said Public Information Officer Terence Perkins with Mobile Police.

Price told FOX10 News this wasn’t the first time her home was shot at. According to Price, a similar incident happened to her in July 2014. She said she is fed up with the crime in her neighborhood and she’s looking to move out.

“I’m just tired. It’s time for me to go,” Price said.

If you know anything about this crime, call Mobile Police immediately.
