MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Alabama State Troopers say three people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Airport Boulevard at Dykes Road this morning.
The wreck happened around 8:30 a.m..
“Tanner Cox of Grand Bay was driving a 2005 Chevrolet that collided with a 2009 Chevrolet driven by Joyce D. Zirlott of Irvington,” said Trooper Kevin Cook, with the Public Information/Education Unit of the Alabama Department of Public Safety,
Seven Hills Volunteer Fire Chief Paul Newton told Fox10News, “An older female with a female child were in one vehicle, and a male in the second vehicle was injured, The child and the man were taken to the hospital via ambulance. The adult female had to be Lifeflighted to the hospital.”
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The accident closed that section of Airport Boulevard for several hours. Chief Newton said the road was opened around noon on Sunday.
