MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – City leaders held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday at the Greystone Place Apartments.
The 56-unit complex is located at the corner of Lloyds Lane and Girby Road in West Mobile.
All units in the development will serve households at or below 60-percent of the area’s median income and will remain affordable for 20 years.
City leaders say projects like this are important to the area.
According to Nigel Roberts, Senior Director of Community Housing Development, “These projects are the ones we try to partner on and revitalize our neighborhoods.”
The City of Mobile, along with help from the state as well as the private sector helped fund the project.
