A free grief camp is being offered to children by Gentiva Hospice. The camp is called, Camp I Believe, and is for children who have experienced the death of a loved one.
The camp is open to children across southern Alabama, and available to children ages 6-14. The camp will take place September 6-7, 2014 at Camp Baldwin in Elberta, Alabama.
Camp activities and programs help children to express feelings, build confidence, foster a sense of community, and identify with other children and adolescents who are experiencing similar struggles. Camps are organized and operated by skilled professionals such as recreational therapists, social workers, bereavement coordinators, and trained volunteers.
