Tara needs a loving home

Tara is a 10-month-old Retriever mix in need of a forever home. She was transferred from the Baldwin County Animal Shelter where she was turned in as a stray. She’s a little shy at first but she’s quickly gaining confidence and learning to trust people. Tara gets along great with other dogs, and in fact is much more comfortable when she has another dog to look to and learn from. She would do great with older children and she would love to find a home with a nice yard and maybe even some water (she loves swimming in the kiddy pools at The Haven).

Tara is fixed, up to date on shots, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms, and up to date on flea/tick/heartworm preventative.

The Haven is a no-kill shelter, caring for over 70 homeless cats and dogs at the shelter on any given day. The Haven finds loving homes for these homeless, injured, neglected, abused and abandoned animals.  All animals are vaccinated, evaluated both behaviorally and medically, fed, watered and marketed until they find their forever home.

You can help save a rescued pet’s life one step at a time by taking part in the Mystic Mutt 5K Race and Dog Walk.  It will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 7 -11 a.m in downtown Fairhope.  For more information about the race, log onto havenforanimals.org.  You can register until 4 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at  http://mysticmuttrace.eventbrite.com. In addition to the race and dog walk we’ll also be having a pet adoption in from of Pinzones and CK Collections on Fairhope Ave after the race ends.
