CITRONELLE, Ala. (WALA) – Citronelle Police are currently investigating the rape of two women they believe were attacked by the same man.
Investigators said a woman came forward to the department, claiming a man she knew held her at gunpoint and raped her.
Shortly after, another woman also came forward, saying a similar incident had happened to her by the same man.
Police said they have already executed a search warrant on the man’s home, and are looking to get an arrest warrant from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office soon.
“Their stories are consistent. Neither one of the victims have talked to each other or know each other, about this type situation, and basically it’s quite a bit of evidence involved,” said Citronelle Police Chief Shane Stringer.
Police believe the man raped other victims, and are looking for other women to give their statements against him.
