MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A group that said it represents all county workers presented a grievance Thursday, August 21 to the Mobile County Commission about the high cost of health care.
Workers handed over the grievance at Mobile’s Government Plaza.
Earlier at the Mobile County Personnel Board, Lieutenant Paul Burch from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office talked about the tough choice facing one former county worker.
“After many sleepless nights he decided to quit, because he could go on government assistance and get medications and then live, other than work for the county and be a productive citizen,” Lt. Burch said.
Lt. Burch emphasized this isn’t going away.
