Alligator 15 feet in length sets Alabama state record

(Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources) – Some hunters in Alabama are celebrating one massive catch.

Wildlife biologists with Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fishers said a family caught a record breaking gator Saturday, August 16 in south Alabana.

WFF said the monstor gator is 15 feet in length and weighs over 1,000 pounds.

It was caught by Mandy and John Stokes, Kevin Jenkins and his children.

It’s the largest gator ever legally killed in the state of Alabama.
