DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) For anyone who had to work or play outside Saturday, they knew it was going to be another hot, humid day.

Governor Robert Bentley, in town for the re-dedication of the newly renovated Fairhope Community Park, stopped by a lemonade stand in Daphne to buy a cool drink to beat the summer heat. The lemonade stand was set up by the children to raise money for BARC, the Baldwin County Humane Society.

In addition to selling a cold lemonade drink to help the animal rescue organization, the children also enjoyed meeting Alabama’s Governor.
