MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Dinners, orientations and renewing friendships from last year were all events celebrated as the University of Mobile welcomed students to campus Friday.
The photograph above was sent to Fox10 News by Kathy Dean, Director of Media Relations at the University of Mobile. This photo was of the Mobile Ramily Dinner.
Ramily, according to Dean, is a combo of Rams, which is the school’s mascot, and the word family; hence the term Ramily.
Students moved into residence halls Friday morning August 15 and classes will begin on Monday, August 18.
Dean says Residence Halls should be near their full capacity of 734 with a total enrollment of 1,600.
“Ram Rush, the annual back-to-school orientation extravaganza of get-to-know events, concerts, worship experiences and athletic competitions begin August 15 and continue through August 22,” said Dean.
