Author pens second book based on the Flora-Bama

A local author has found inspiration at the famous beach-bar the Flora-Bama. He’s now published two books, the most recent, “Saved At the Alabama-Florida Line”.

Chris Warner’s novel is based on fictional characters who meet at the Flora-Bama, he a talented, struggling, singer-songwriter. She, a college sophomore debutante whose father is an Alabama State Senator. Although both from different backgrounds, both have a love for singing and meet while both are performing at the Flora-Bama. 

From Warner’s book: “Saved At The Alabama-Florida Line is a romantic, satirical tale of forbidden love that seeks to draw semblance to Southern living, art, failed politics and pop culture.

You can meet Chris and get a copy of his book at a meet & greet Friday, August 15th. The event will take place at Page and Palette starting at 4pm and lasting until 6pm.
