PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – People are already kicking back and kicking their shoes off near Orange Beach where thousands of people will be in the area for the Kenny Chesney concert Saturday, August 16.
Friday, people were already taking advantage of the summer sun hanging out on boats, relaxing on the sand, drinking and eating.
Event planners are estimating 20-30,000 people on the beach for the concert.
“Long lines, it’s a hot day we want everyone to get here early. Get your spot, enjoy the weather and don’t come at the last minute,” said Marketing Director of the Flora-Bama Jenifer Ivey.
Emergency officials are reminding people to drink a lot of water and hydrate. You can bring an empty water bottle into Saturday’s concert, where they will have free water.
You’re also allowed to go swimming if you want.
The concert kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon and will go until 7:30 p.m. If you don’t have a wristband, you will not be allowed in.
