MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A man who pleaded guilty to a violent robbery will have to wait another week to learn his punishment.
Zachery Moore was due to be sentenced Thursday, August 14, but it was delayed another week. Because of prior felony convictions, Moore is facing up to life in prison.
The robbery happened in 2013 at the Petro Gas Station in Eight Mile. it was caught on surveillance video.
Moore was seen digging through the clerk’s purse. Another suspect, joseph Caples, pistol whipped the clerk, according to authorities.
The clerk told FOX10 News Caples even tried to shoot her, but the gun jammed.
caples pleaded guilty to robbery and attempted murder. A judge recently sentenced him to 25 years in prison.
