MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Mobile Area Water and Sewer Service officials said a water main break in west Mobile has been repaired.
The break was reported Sunday morning, August 10. MAWSS officials say the break could have been caused by a lightning strike.
Strong storms moved through the area Saturday afternoon, causing storm damage mainly in Saraland on Jacintoport Boulevard off Highway 43.
“We have a broken water main break near Freemont and Knollwood Drives,” said Barbara Shaw, MAWSS Public Affairs Manager, in an email to FOX10News. “Approximately twenty homes may be without water between Freemont and Longmeadow as a result of the break to the 10-inch line.”
Several FOX10News viewers who live in the area also said they experienced low water pressure.
