Franklin 18th annual celebrity golf tournament held


Mobile, AL – Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc. held it’s 19th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament on August 9, 2014 at the Robert Trent Jones Magnolia Golf Course. Celebrities on hand for the event this year included Robert Brazile (Houston Oilers), Clifton McNeil (Redskins, 49ers, Giants, Browns), Paul Crane (New York Jets), Tom Banks (St. Louis Cardinals), Roosevelt Patterson (Oakland Raiders), Mardye McDole (Minnesota Vikings), Gerald Jackson (Kansas City Chiefs), Bill Cody (New Orleans Saints), and special guest Gary Grandison (Alabama State University – Golf Coach).

25 teams, comprised of local businesses and individuals, participated this year in the annual 4 person scramble. The tournament sponsors for this year’s tournament included Wintzell’s Oyster House, VIVA Medicare, and St. Jospeh Hospice Care. Other corporate sponsors included Cigna HealthSpring, Quest Diagnostic Services, PNC Bank, Humana Insurance, Lamar Advertising, Dex Imaging, Claim Remedi, Inc. and McKesson Surgical.

Golf Tournament Chairman, Mr. Eugene Mosley of Mosley Financial Services, welcomed all in attendance and got the golfers off to a shot gun start at 8:30 a.m.

Golf Tournament Director, William “Bill” Clark, informed the golfers that, “Regardless of who wins the tournament today, all of you are winners because you came out today to support a worthy cause.”
