Six-year-old Aiden Bonner was diagnosed was an aggressive form of brain cancer called Diffused Intrinsic Pontine Glima or DIPG in August of 2013. He has been undergoing treatment ever since.
One of Aiden’s wishes is to play a T-ball game. It’s something he has not been able to do because of his extensive treatment.
On August 8, 2014, approximately 500 people participated in a fundraising event called “Aiden’s Day in the Park.” There were several baseball and softball games. Then it was Aiden’s turn at the bat. He hit the ball and rounded the bases all to the cheers of supporters. At the end of the game, Aiden also received a trophy to commemorate the event.
