Public school students must register online

Mobile County, Ala. (WALA) – A change for some Mobile County Public School students.

This year, all schools are registering online.  That’s the only way to get your child enrolled for the upcoming school year.  This is for all students from Pre-K through high school.  But in some cases, parents may need to finish the process at your child’s school.

MCPSS Parent Specialist, Paula Reese says “If you are a transitioning student into 6th grade or high school or even kindergarten or are new to the system, you must take in your proofs of residence and some other documents, which you will find all of this information on-line.”

To register, you will need your username and password.  And when you are finished be sure to look for the update status.  The entire process takes about 15 minutes.

If you do not have access to the internet, school system officials say computers are set up schools for registration.  Also, most public libraries have computers available to the public to use without charging a fee.
