Back-to-school tech gadgets

Summer vacation will be over before you know it, and it will be back-to-school time. The kids always want to stay on top of the latest trends. We’ve got some back-to-school top tech trends to tell you about. Paul Ott from Staples stopped by our studio to break everything down.

The first tech item he brought is the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. It comes in 32, 64 and 128 gigabytes. Paul brought the 64 gigabyte version with a detachable keyboard. It’s wireless with USB ports, bluetooth, and equipped with Microsoft Office. It starts at $799, and has everything you need for doing school work and homework.

He also brought a Lenovo Touch laptop for those who love the full feature of a laptop. It comes with a DVD drive, 8 gigs of RAM and a 500 gig hard drive. It starts at $299.

Another cool gadget is a calculator shaped like an Xbox controller. It costs $3.99. Staples also has a wireless bluetooth keyboard. You can use bluetooth to connect it to your smart phone or tablet, and type your homework directly from the device. You can also try the JBL wireless flip speaker. You can use it to wirelessly stream music through your smart phone or tablet.

You can also get a smart phone from Staples. The store can order phones from all the major carriers. Once ordered, it takes 2 days to ship your phone with free shipping.

Staples also has a trade-in program for iPads. Bring it in, and as long as it’s working, Staples will grade it and give you a gift certificate towards the purchase of another one.

All of these items can be found at Staples or ordered online at staples.com.
