FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – On the Eastern Shore, plenty of people got out to enjoy the unseasonable July weather. Lows are expected to reach record breaking July temperatures on Wednesday, July 30.
It was perfect weather to enjoy the beach, walk the dogs and eat some ice cream.
Timothy Oates moved all the way from New Jersey to enjoy the Alabama summer.
“The weather is great. It’s amazing, the sun feels great,” he said. “I was thinking about going for a dip, maybe walk on the beach, meet some people.”
Labarren Walker didn’t come quite as far as Oates but he did drive across the bay.
“We drove across the bay – my wife and I did. We thought we would catch the beautiful weather on the beach and stuff.”
The Walkers looked at the forecast last night and planned ahead, and they were one of many who just couldn’t resist enjoying Mother Nature’s gift.
