Weather Summary: We’ve got a VERY muggy start to our morning with temperatures already in the upper 70s and lower 80s in several spots on the Gulf Coast. We’ll see the temps move into the mid 90s after midday today and the heat index could easily top out at above 105 degrees. Be very careful with the humidity this high! There is a front arriving this afternoon and it will bring some very strong or even severe storms to the area this afternoon and evening. There is a severe weather risk zone for locations from I-10 and points north. Gusty straight line winds of 58 mph or greater and the threat for large hail will exist with the storms. They will push south off the coast this evening and the air will get cooler and less humid starting tomorrow.
