MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Kids from all over the area turned up for the third annual Reese’s Senior Bowl Youth Football Clinic on Saturday, July 26.
The free camp was held at the West Mobile County Park on Leroy Stevens Road.
Participants received instruction on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball from Reese’s Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage and Mobile Youth Football Conference coaches.
“This is an event for the entire family,” Savage said. “There’s something for everyone, whether it’s the football or cheerleading camp, sliding down on one of the inflatables or participating in PNC’s outstanding ‘Grow up Great’ area. It’s always a great time for everyone involved.”
After a morning of drills, it was time for some fun. All of the athletes and their families were invited to a family fun day right after the clinic.
Children were able to enjoy some music and free food, and there were clowns, face painters and an inflatable fun zone.
“We had so much fun. It was very fun to out and be on the inflatables and just play with the other kids. And it was just a lot of fun to come and play,” said one participant.
University of South Alabama cheerleaders also hosted a cheerleading clinic in conjunction with the football clinic.
