Spring Hill College’s Chief Operating Officer John Barter announced the elimination of seven positions at the College. 3 were part-time positions and 4 were full-time.
In a statement released to the faculty and staff on July 24, Barter wrote, “While regrettable, it is necessary in order to maintain our tuition at an affordable level and still allow the College to invest in the academic and co-curricular programs that fulfill the College ’s mission and will continue to enhance the attractiveness of a Spring Hill education. We regret having to reduce census, especially since we pride ourselves on our sense of community. These decisions were made with great care and in the best long-term interest of the college as a whole”.
FOX10 News has learned one part-time and one full-time job have been eliminated from Graduate Studies. It is not known what other areas of the College were affected.
