Here is the latest update on a location and enviromental impact statement for a new bridge over the Mobile River.
Doug Hecox with the Federal Highway Administration issued a statement about 1:30 Monday afternoon saying, “We anticipate that the draft EIS for the proposed I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway Widening will be finalized and signed very soon. I’ll be in touch with more info tomorrow.”
An announcement had been expected Monday from the Federal Highway Administration.
However, Congressman Bradley Byrne’s office said Byrne will be talking to the news media Monday afternoon, with the topic being the I-10 Mobile River Bridge.
Byrne is scheduled to speak at 4:15 pm outside of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce offices on Government Street.
Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson is also expected to attend.
FOX10 will be covering the event and have details on FOX10 News tonight.
