The CW has ordered a new cycle of the hit comedy ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’. CW President, Mark Pedowitz, announced that the network will keep bringing the funny with its hit improvisational comedy series. An additional 24 all-new, half-hour episodes have been ordered. The episodes will debut in 2015. A premiere date and time has not been announced.
Whose Line Is It Anyway? features Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, plus a special guest each episode. They must put their comedic skills to the test through a series of spontaneous improv games. The studio audience and host Aisha Tyler suggest random ideas that the four performers must depict, using only limited information and their wild imaginations. Aisha dishes out points after each round of improvisation. At the end of every episode, she declares a winner.
Some of the guest stars who’ve showed off their improv comedy skills include Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead), Misha Collins (Supernatural), Michael Weatherly (NCIS), NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski, Olympic gold medalist and commentator Tara Lipinski, Kevin McHale (Glee), Darren Criss (Glee), Olympic gold medalist and WNBA superstar Lisa Leslie, and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries).
