MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) Land is now being cleared near Hank Aaron Stadium for a multi-million dollar shopping center in Mobile.
After a lot of speculation and rumors contractors confirmed to FOX10 News they were hired to clear trees and make way for Costco off Satchel Paige Drive. The wholesale giant is just one store slated to open in McGowin Park. Restaurants, retail stores and possibly a gas station are also expected to open at the shopping center.
According to the company’s website, Coscto’s mission is to sell bulk products at a low-cost. It’s a members only club and there is an $55 annual fee to join.
Coscto is in Montgomery, Huntsville and Birmingham. The 40 acre property will also include restaurant’s, retail stores and possibly a gas station.
FOX10 News asked Costco for a comment, but we have not heard back.
