A huge event for kids is coming up tomorrow at Bellingrath Gardens. They are hosting the “Kids Discovery Day”, which will be a morning full of educational fun!
Here is a list provided by Bellingrath of some of the things that will be taking place:
•Winged Ambassadors will feature trained free-flight Birds of Prey on the Great Lawn including sacred falcon, turkey vulture, black vulture, red tail hawk, great horned owl and more.
•Birds of Prey are trained to perform on command and to show the important roles these birds play in supporting the ecosystem.
•Dauphin Island Sea Lab will have their touch table.
•Environmental Studies Center will feature coastal animals including screech owls, native birds, snakes, and reptiles
•Mobile BayKeeper will have activities to learn about our watershed
•Alabama Coastal Foundation will have a water filtration lesson highlighting the importance of plants in our environment.
•Live Oak Plaza will come alive with animals from different organizations around the Gulf Coast to educate guests on how these species play an important role supporting our ecosystem.
