When you think of drones, military surveillance or troop maneuvers come to mind.
But a drone at the wedding of former Alabama football quarterback A.J. McCarron and his fiancee, Katharine Webb?
Saturday evening, at the Orange Beach church where the couple were wed, our FOX10News crew spotted a drone, with an attached camera, hovering right over the sign of the Orange Beach United Methodist Church. We later found out the drone was a part of the couple’s wedding photography team.
Security was tight and the media was kept at a distance for the nuptials. Friends and family of Webb used a huge umbrella and a drape so the bride would not be seen by photographers entering the church. But someone, and that is the big question, what agency via media or not, used drone capability to get shots of the wedding party as they arrived at the church.
The wedding reception was held later that night at The Wharf in Orange Beach.
The rehearsal dinner was celebrated at the famed Flora-Bama Friday night.
Everyone, football and Alabama fans, tourists and Orange Beach residents we spoke with, wished the couple well and happiness for their future.
