FOX10News Baldwin County Reporter Will Robinson-Smith says traffic is already heavy as thousands plan to attend the Blue Angels show over Pensacola Beach Saturday afternoon.
Aerial sky shows will be happening throughout the day, but the main attraction will be the famous U.S. Navy aviation team as they swoosh, flip, turn and otherwise dazzle Angels fans beginning at 2:00 p.m..
There were plenty of people on the beach Friday for the Angels practice run and the crowds are growing today.
Last year, the aerial team was grounded because of cuts to the military budget.
Based on the number of people attending Friday’s Blue Angels rehearsal run that afternoon, it is obvious Gulf Coast residents are happy to see them back in the skies over Pensacola Beach.
Traffic officials say drive carefully and expect delays as motorists make their way to Santa Rosa Island.
FOX10News will have more on the Blue Angels show on tonight’s newscast.
