No-Dough Blueberry-Peach Cobbler

1 cup butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
3 cups fresh or frozen sliced peaches
1 cup sugar

Melt butter in a 2 ½ – 3 quart baking dish.  Set aside.  Combine flour, 1 ½ cups sugar, and baking powder.  Add milk and stir until blended.  Spoon batter over melted butter in baking dish; do not stir.  Combine blueberries, peaches, and 1 cup sugar; spoon over batter.  Do not stir.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.

Frank Knippenberg and wife Peggy are the owners/operators of Blue Moon Farm.  Frank just retired as a teacher from MCPSS.  Peggy is a teacher at Mary B. Austin ES.  Frank is also a retired Marine officer.   The Farm is our home.   Family farm has operated over 40 years (Peggy’s dad).  Blue Moon Farm has been operating for last 7 years.  We operate a blueberry u-pick, grow specialty cut flowers, and have started, this year, a CSA (community supported agriculture) program that grows organic vegetable shares for 30 area families.
