Two-thirds of those responding to a local congressional survey say they are closely following the influx of illegal immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The office of Alabama Congressman Bradley Byrne posted the on-line survey on July 9, and a day later, says 410 people had responded to it.

Here are the results to date:

How closely are you following the influx of illegal immigrants at the southern border?  67% said very closely, 31% somewhat closely, 1% not really, 2% not at all.

Do you think Congress should approve President Obama’s request of $3.7 billion to address the crisis at the border?  23% said yes and 77% said no.

Would you support efforts to reduce foreign aid for any country which doesn’t take sufficient action to mitigate unlawful U.S.-Mexico border crossings by their respective citizens?  88% said yes while 12% said no.
