Reading Rainbow Returns to Web & Devices

You may remember the popular children’s TV series, Reading Rainbow, that encouraged children to read. A Kickstarter campaign was started to bring Reading Rainbow back to the web, and the response from the public was outstanding. More than enough money was raised, so now, in addition to coming to the web, Reading Rainbow will be coming to Android, XBox, Playstation, Apple TV, and thousands of classrooms for free. Over $5 million dollars was raised to bring the show back. The web portion should be ready by next May. The Reading Rainbow app is already in the Apple app store.

And, it could be the valet parking of the future. Check out the video to see robot valets at an airport in Germany. The robot will pick up your car, like a forklift, and carry it off to a parking spot. When you return, the robot will bring the car back to you. The robot’s nickname is “Ray”. The service costs about $40 dollars a day. No word if any U.S. airports will be using the robot valets any time soon.

That’s your Daily Tech.
