Florida Fish & Wildlife and Conservation officials confirmed to FOX10News the body of a missing fisherman was found in the waters of Pensacola Bay Friday afternoon.
The search for 56-year-old Louie Baca of Pensacola ended, say officials, when a passing boater spotted the body in the water around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Several agencies, including Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation officers and the U.S. Coast Guard, were involved in the search.
The search for Baca began Friday morning. State officials said Baca was with three other men on board a 16-foot boat around 1:15 a.m. when he was reported missing.
The boat, say investigators, was close to the Pensacola Bay Bridge when Baca apparently went overboard.
According to searchers, Baca could not swim and was not wearing a life vest. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
