(CNN) The live-in nanny who refused to leave her former employer’s home was spotted in a car outside a police station Friday.
According to CNN affiliate KTLA, Diane Stretton left Marcella and Ralph Bracamonte’s house in California Thursday morning and hasn’t returned. Responding to a tip, KTLA found Stretton in a car outside a local police station. She hid under the blanket and did not answer any questions.
Stretton was reportedly fired by the Bracamonte family more than two weeks ago, but refused to move out of the home.
Surprisingly, there was virtually nothing that could be done to force Stretton to move out. Police say once someone has established residency, the landlord or owner has to go to court to get the person evicted.
Stretton threatened to sue the Bracamontes if they forced her to leave. They hired her in March to look after their three children.
