Mobile County Sheriff deputies assisted by U.S. Marshals, said they arrested 6 people on gambling charges and raided two businesses suspected of illegal gambling Friday night.
“MCSO and U.S. Marshals seized 21 illegal gambling machines and over $20,000 in gambling proceeds,” said Lori Myles, Sheriff’s Assistant for Public Affairs. “Six people were arrested on drug and weapons charges along with several outstanding warrants.
Myles said additional arrests relating to the gambling operations are pending and the investigation continues.
Lawmen say they executed search warrants at Kali’s Bar on Highway 45 in Citronelle and Club Boo Joe’s on West Coy Smith Highway in north Mobile County.
Those arrested at the Coy Smith Highway location are:
Clouis Sullivan, Benjamin Weaver, Princess Latasha Breech, Johnny McDonald, Grover Byrd and Norman Evans.
