Google has new, more stylish, frames available for Google Glass buyers. They come in multiple sunglass tints, and different colors for the frame. Google teamed up with designer Diane Von Furstenberg for the new look. Other launches for Glass include Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Luxoticca, but the Furstenberg collection is the first to actually ship.
Amazon has updated its Instant Video app for IOS. Now the app includes some free TV shows. The first episode of selected TV shows will be free, and will include advertising breaks before and during video playback. The update also includes HBO content like The Sopranos, The Wire, True Blood, and Boardwalk Empire.
And, the GoPro camera company has a new partnership with BMW. As a result, starting in July, late-model BMW cars will be able to control GoPro cameras directly from the dash. The GoPro app must be installed on an iPhone connected to the BMW. When the car is parked, the camera streams video to the dash, but once the car moves, the preview turns off. Drivers will be able to record while the car is in motion.
