The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has canceled a Silver Alert after a missing 77-year-old woman was located safely.
According to Capt. Audie Rowell with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Joy Staton was found in South Walton and has been returned to her family.
Staton had last seen around 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21 wearing a purple shirt with a blue, heavier shirt over it.
Lawmen say Staton is 5’11” tall and weighs 135 lbs. She has blond hair, green eyes, brown age spots on her arms, and a large mole on her neck.
Sheriff’s officials say Staton carries a very distinctive looking purse which is made of leather with bright-colored diamond shaped patches.
Authorities say Staton was driving a yellow 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser with an Indiana license tag number of USW128.
