Pensacola Police still looking for suspect in Boost Mobile robbery

Pensacola PD says an undisclosed amount of money was taken by a man who robbed a local business this afternoon.

The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. at Boost Mobile, 5039 Bayou Blvd.

Officer Greg Gordon said the suspect entered the store two times. The second time he was in the business, he put his phone in his pocket, approached a counter, reached over the counter, and struck a female employee in the face.

Gordon said the suspect then demanded the employee tell him how to open the register. She complied and he took some money and the store phone before leaving the business. The store employee was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Gordon said the suspect was described as a black male, approximately six feet tall, thin build, and medium complexioned. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jean shorts and dark two-tone running shoes. The shorts may have been faded or worn on a back leg.
