Lagniappe Weekend Rundown June 13-15

It’s a big weekend across the Gulf Coast! If you are looking for something to do for Father’s Day, or something to just get you out of the house, those with the Lagniappe have the weekend rundown of what’s happening on the Gulf Coast. 

4th Annual Hugh McCain Putt Putt Classic is Saturday. Shotgun is from 1-5 p.m. Registrations starts at 12:30 at Veet’s. Putt Putt Holes will be at The Brickyard, Café 615, The Garage, The Haberdasher, Hayley’s, O’Daly’s, Bike Shop, Pat’s and Veet’s. Putters and putt balls are provided at each hole. No personal putters are allowed. Teams are made up of four players, $25 per golfer or $100 for the team. Trophies will be awarded for Best Team Score, Golf Attire and People’s Choice Best Hole Awards. An after party at the Garage with music food and prizes.

Some country ladies are coming to Soul Kitchen Friday night. Check out rising star Maggie Rose with local country favorites Cary Laine and Holli Mosley opening up. Doors are at 7:30pm. Soul Kitchen is located at 219 Dauphin Street. Tickets are $15 and are available at Soul Kitchen, soulkitchenmobile.com or Mobile Mellow Mushroom locations.

The “I Want It All Back” concert at The Saenger Theatre is Saturday night 6 – 10pm. Tickets range from $40.25-$65.75. The fundraiser concert being presented by United Voice, Inc. featuring performers including William Murphy III and Dorinda Clark Cole. Also appearing: Pastor Joseph Carl Turman, Bradley Joy Nelson, Friendship Baptist Church Choir, Nazaree Full Gospel Church Choir, MT Hebron Church Ministries Praise Team, Solid Rock Ministries Sanctuary Choir and more.
Proceeds will benefit people living in our community with HIV / AIDS.

Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo Friday and Saturday at the Flora-Bama.
To commemorate 50 years the Flora-Bama kicks off its inaugural Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo this Father’s Day Weekend with a portion of proceeds to benefit The Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Rodeo tickets are only $35 per angler with winners 3-deep in over 35 categories, including largest mullet and most unusual fish. The tournament is an “everyman’s” tournament with categories ranging from blue crab to blue marlin! A boat is NOT required to enter this tournament so you can just bring the family and fish off of the beach, the jetties, or the public piers!
