The Mobile BayBears will host Bolling Brothers Day at Hank Aaron Stadium on June 14 before the BayBears take on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at 6:05pm. This event is dedicated to remembering and honoring Milt and Frank Bolling and their contributions to Major League Baseball and the Mobile community. It will also mark the opening of the new Milt and Frank Bolling Suite.
The Bollings were born and raised in Mobile, AL and both attended McGill-Toolen High School and Springhill College before going on to play in the majors during the 50’s and 60’s. Milt played seven years in “the show,” mostly for the Boston Red Sox. Frank played twelve years for the Tigers and Braves. Memorabilia from the careers of Milt and Frank will be on display in the Bolling Brothers Suite which will be open to all fans during the BayBears game.
The festivities will begin at 4:00pm beginning with a celebrity softball game at 4:30pm featuring many local radio and TV personalities and Bolling family members. The guests of honor will include Mr. Frank Bolling and Mrs. Milt Bolling, Joanne. Included in the event will be a remembrance for Milt Bolling who passed away in January 2013.
Following all the pre-game activities, the BayBears will take on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Before the game, the first 1,500 fans will receive a free BayBears t-shirt courtesy of Cook’s Pest Control.
The BayBears will return to Mobile for the final home series before the All-Star Break w hen they open a five game home stand with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Wednesday, June 11, at 7:05 PM CT from Hank Aaron Stadium.
