Bond set for murder suspect

MOBILE, Ala. – A Mobile man charged with murder received bonds totaling more than a 100 thousand dollars Wednesday.

Police said 20-year-old Jimmie Lee Taite kicked in the door of a woman’s apartment on Church Street on Monday, June 9th.

Investigators said the woman was the mother of Taite’s child.

19-year-old Tyrone Gable was also in the apartment. Police said Gable felt threatened and tried to flee through a window.

Gable was impaled by a large piece of glass and died.

District Court Judge Joe Basenberg set bond at $60,000 for the felony murder charge, $30,000 for burglary 2nd degree, $6,000 for the domestic violence charge, and $5,000 for possession of a controlled substance.

A Preliminary Hearing was set for July 2nd.
