If you were not enjoying the delights of the Tensaw River at Lower Bryant Pavilion and Landing in north Baldwin County near Stockton Saturday, you probably were at the event for the good Southern cooking, music and family events staged that day.

A fishing tournament, raft and inter-tube races and several other activities kept families busy as they enjoyed the beauty of the upper Mobile Delta.

Organizers say this event raised money for the Leah Ann Overstreet Memorial Scholarship Fund.  The fund awards scholarships to senior members of the Baldwin County High School band.

The late Mrs. Overstreet, say event organizers, was the principal of Delta Elementary School and President of the North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education.

“We honor Leah Ann’s memory this way by trying to encompass all of the things that were dear to her heart -music, family, fun, the North Baldwin area, school activities and food,” said Emily Malone, one of the coordinators of the event.

FOX10News would like to thank A’lanson Hoffman for sending us photos of Saturday’s event.:
