Alabama State Troopers are investigating the death of a Mobile man after his motorcycle collided with a car.
Sergeant Steve Jarrett of the Alabama Department of Public Safety told FOX10News, the two-vehicle crash happened at 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
23 year-old Richard Weyland Neece died in the accident. Investigators say Neece was killed when the 2002 Suzuki motorcycle he was operating stuck at 2014 Fiat driven by Oscar A. Sorto.
Sorto, who is 46 years-old is from Norcross, Georgia.
“Neece was transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile where he later died of his injuries,”said Sergeant Jarrett. The State Trooper news release did not indicate where in Mobile County the accident took place, but said they are investigating.
State investigators also say the second accident happened at 12:15 a.m. Saturday in Baldwin County. Sergeant Jarrett said 52 year-old Marc Coutu of Loxley was killed when his 2001 Harley Davidson left Interstate 10 and overturned.
Troopers say Coutu died at the scene. That accident, too, is under investigation by state authorities.
