Polls open, Baldwin County sheriff on primary ballot


(WALA) – It’s election day along the Alabama Gulf Coast. Voters across the area are heading to the polls Tuesday, June 3 to cast ballots in Alabama’s primary elections.

The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

There are many big races. One race profiled recently on FOX10 News has been the sheriff’s race in Baldwin County.

Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack is facing off against two challengers: Larry Milstid and Jeff Dunn.

Both have worked alongside Sheriff Mack at the sheriff’s office.

Milstid said if he is elected, he wants to focus more on rural areas.

Dunn wants citizens to know him as the constitutional candidate.

Sheriff Mack wants to continue tackling problems like jail overcrowding.
