Change in polling site confuses some voters

SATSUMA, Ala. – I was a little surprised when I showed up at Satsuma City Hall right at 7:00 Tuesday morning only to find the door was locked. A few other voters and myself were a little confused until one man said he remembered hearing something about the polling site being moved to the old Satsuma High School Annex.

It turns out more than a dozen polling locations in Mobile County have been changed this year. Notices were sent out a few weeks ago and they included the Precinct and new polling location.

Poll worker Linda Robbins said both polling sites in Satsuma including the one at City Hall and the site at the Howard Blackwell Lodge on Highway 43 have been combined into one voting Precinct #12 at the Satsuma High School Annex.

Be sure to check the voting information card you received from the Mobile County Board of Registrars before you head out to vote today. You can also call the Board of Registrars at (251) 574-8586, or check on line: http://mobilecounty.org.preview.siteone.com/probatecourt/voters/index.asp
