FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – We’re less than 24 hours away now from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s debate to begin at Homestead Village in Fairhope, and the candidates said they are grateful and excited for the opportunity to show Baldwin County what sets them apart.
Incumbent candidate, Huey “Hoss” Mack, said he’s looking forward to productive conversation that will allow voters to make the best choice.
“I hope we have a good discussion on the issues,” said Sheriff Mack, “I hope we have a good discussion on everybody’s plans, and everybody’s beliefs are for this office of Sheriff.”
Candidate Jeff Dunn said the debate will give the folks of Baldwin County a chance to see the stark differences between each of the candidates.
“There’s definitely issues that we don’t agree on, and I welcome that,” said Dunn, “I want the Baldwin County citizens to see that.”
And, Candidate Larry Milstid said he’s looking forward to having the debate be televised, so more citizens can see the candidate’s qualities.
“It’s a chance for the public to see us, many more than what came to our previous debates where it was just attended by small crowds of people, this will blanket the entire viewing area of Baldwin County,” said Milstid.
