30 Teams in 30 Days: Faith Academy Rams

Last season ended on a positive note for Faith Academy. After starting the season 0-4, the Rams went finished the year with 3 wins. Since Faith has joined the AHSAA, the program has not advanced to post season play, a goal the team has for 2014.

“Well people say you’ve got some holes to fill and certainly we do. Offensively 5 or 6 guys, but defensively we return 9 guys, we played 5 or 6 freshman and sophomores last year so there’s a growth, you don’t just turn things around over night. So yes we’ll have a learning curve on offense but our defense will be phenomenally more experienced and mature and better,” said head coach, Rusty Mason.

“So far this off season we’ve really bonded together and they see us as leaders. Our work ethic in the weight room and in the film room, and our determination and we go out on the field and they start to buy in piece by piece by piece and so it’ll be really big in the spring,” said QB, Zac Bartel.
