MCSO: Robbery 1st suspect arrested


According to the Mobile County Sheriffs office, at approximately 3 p.m. on May 20, 2014, three known subjects came to the residence where the victim, Jesse Manning, was living in his truck.

Authorities said, the subjects began inquiring about buying a hand gun from the victim. The victim advised he did not want to sell the hand gun but the subjects continuing saying they wanted to get the hand gun. At one point one the subjects grabbed the hand gun and all three subjects ran. The victim gave chase armed with a bat and caught them at the end of the driveway.

According to authorities, The subjects surrounded the victim and took the bat from him and beat the victim with the bat resulting in significant swelling to the face/head. The victim was not transported to the hospital.

According to authorities, two subjects fled on foot and one subject Shane Marceax, fled in a silver Honda Accord. The victim contacted MCSO and a BOLO was put out by dispatch. The vehicle was located by patrol a short time later near Hwy 188/Homestead Ave Grand Bay.

Authorities say, one suspect was detained and was transported to administration where he has been interviewed by Det. Holifield. The one suspect who was detained has been arrested for Robbery 1st and taken to Metro Jail, according to authorities.
